Kid Crafts

This was a quick project I threw together while the kids were eating lunch today.

Pre-heat the oven to 265 degrees F. Cut up the crayons that my little princess loves to unwrap and break. Grouped them in some color groups in silicone mini-muffin cups and placed them on a cookie sheet. 6-8 minutes later the wax was melted and I removed the tray from the oven. After they felt cool to the touch, I placed them in the freezer for about 5 minutes to help the silicone release. Kids had a lot of fun experimenting with different ways to color with them. Only kept my 4 amused for about a half an hour, but hey, it was the quietest 30 minutes of my day!

What a cute idea! I still love to color. Get me around a 6 year old and I'm the one asking them if they'll pass the crayons over :) Guess it transports me back to my childhood!
