Kid Crafts

This was a quick project I threw together while the kids were eating lunch today.

Pre-heat the oven to 265 degrees F. Cut up the crayons that my little princess loves to unwrap and break. Grouped them in some color groups in silicone mini-muffin cups and placed them on a cookie sheet. 6-8 minutes later the wax was melted and I removed the tray from the oven. After they felt cool to the touch, I placed them in the freezer for about 5 minutes to help the silicone release. Kids had a lot of fun experimenting with different ways to color with them. Only kept my 4 amused for about a half an hour, but hey, it was the quietest 30 minutes of my day!

CPR for blogs...

Yep, it's been so long this blog needs to be resuscitated. You see, the problem with having a "crafty" blog and making it public is that at some point, usually around holiday seasons or other gift giving occasions, you must be very careful what you publish. And if you are like me, if you are crafting like a mad woman into the wee hours of the morning, you frequently forget to snap those oh so important photos of the FO (finished object)! Yep... once again I fell victim to this during the handmade holiday season. Luckily I managed to snap a few photos after the unveiling and I hope to share them with you over the next few days.

Also, I've hopped back into some digi-scrapping again and I'm blessed to be a member of Nikki Painter's creative team, for her shop over at Faith Sisters. So I thought I'd share a new(ish) layout.
You know I love templates, because they just make it go even faster & help you get the big idea down so you can move onto the details of the page. This template happens to be made by TaylorMade designs over at Oscraps. The kit is Nikki's All Things Good, which has some fabulous bright colors perfect for children!
